Who are we?
Welcome to LoMo, the Lower Moyamensing Civic Association!
The Lower Moyamensing Civic Association was formed in February 2007, drawing its members from the area bounded by Snyder and Oregon Avenues, Broad to 8th Streets. All residents and merchants in this area are invited to join the association and participate in the community-minded activities it supports and promotes.
The primary functions of LoMo are to promote public safety, develop cleaning and greening projects, plan special neighborhood events, and promote the area as a viable and desirable place to live. Examples of such activities include formation of a patrolling town watch, neighborhood street cleaning, tree and flower planting, and small business promotion.
