ABOUT LOMO

Welcome to the homepage of LoMo, the Lower Moyamensing Civic Association!

pigeon_7522_lgThe Lower Moyamensing Civic Association was formed in February 2007, drawing its members from the area bounded by Snyder and Oregon Avenues, Broad to Eighth Streets. All residents, merchants, and neighborhood organizations in this area are invited to join the association and participate in the community-minded activities it supports and promotes.

Our goals are to promote public safety; build community through regular cleaning & greening projects; plan social events; and support our local businesses. Examples of such activities have included regular sweep-ups, annual spring & fall tree plantings, maintaining public parks and community gardens throughout the neighborhood, hosting Happy Hours & holiday parties, and organizing regular Town Watch walks.

General meetings are held on a quarterly basis. Be sure to check out the Upcoming Events section of this website to see what’s coming up next!
